To all our friends;

As someone who has been touched in some way by the ministry of LifeFORCE Teams International, we wanted to inform you of our plans for the '08 -'09 year.

Over the past number of years, we've seen a decline in the numbers of young adults going into short-term missions programs similar to ours and we have not escaped this trend either. The result for us has been that we have decided to put our program on hold for the upcoming year. We are dedicating the next few months to seek the Lord for His guidance for the future of LifeFORCE, both short-term and long-term.
There have been a great many changes in our church and popular culture over the past 20 years - some good, some not so good. Our senior leadership has, for a number of months, been grappling with the effect that this is having on the future of the church in the western world and specifically, Canada. We are looking at this next period of time as an opportunity to research, discuss, pray and gain some answers from the Lord on how to most effectively minister to youth and young adults today.

We are asking you for 2 things in light of these recent developments:

1. Prayer for wisdom
It is our desire to hear from God. Please pray that we don't bring our preconceived notions to the table, but that we would hear from Him. We are looking for direction and need wisdom to discern both the times and His voice.

2. Continued financial support
We are not shutting down our organization and as a result, we still have financial obligations. In our particular case, the financial strain will increase as a result of not having any teams to generate some extra income. If you are not a financial partner with us at this time, but have wanted to get involved in the past, please take this opportunity to come alongside us as we endeavor to effectively advance Jesus' Kingdom. Thank you for all your support over the years, you have enabled hundreds of young people to lead thousands of others to the Lord while having their own lives changed forever.
